Fletcher – who won his first career trophy in 2004 – managed a 2-2 draw in his debut match as caretaker.
When asked by SunSport if he had discussed his future with Ratcliffe, Fletcher replied: “I have not, no. I speak to Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox].”
“For me, I have been focusing on the task at hand. There have been no discussions about my future.
“They have entrusted me with full responsibility to lead the team for these two matches.”
Fletcher also emphasized that Wilcox and others have not interfered with how United plans to approach the game against the Seagulls.
The former midfielder stated: “I’ve had the responsibility for my own decisions to lead the team and prepare them; that is what I have been doing.”
“There have been no discussions with anyone outside of those two individuals in higher positions at the club.”
United’s Ineos leadership team is scheduled for face-to-face discussions with Michael Carrick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shortly.
Both potential candidates have been occupied with personal commitments this week.
Ratcliffe’s shortcomings have come under scrutiny following the dismissal of Amorim just 14 months after he took charge.
Criticism has been directed at United’s ownership group, which includes the majority-owning Glazer family, Ratcliffe, and his Ineos executives.
The 1958 group labeled Ratcliffe an “incompetent clown” responsible for turning United into a larger “circus.”
The organization plans to protest before United’s home match against Fulham on February 1.
