Man Utd fans heard singing incredible new chant in dig at Cristiano Ronaldo after controversial transfer exit

MANCHESTER UNITED fans showed their feelings towards Cristiano Ronaldo clear during the Carabao Cup tie against Burnley.

The Red Devils played for the first time without the Portuguese attacker following his controversial exit from the club.

Man Utd fans sang ‘I don’t care about Ronny’ during their game against Burnley
The chant was aimed at former player Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo saw his contract with the club mutually terminated after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

While the current side did the business on the pitch, dispatching the Championship side 2-0, fans were voicing their opinions on the 37-year-old.

A video was posted on TikTok, with the caption “bye bye Ronaldo”, of the club’s supporters singing their new song directed at him.

The fans can be heard singing: “I don’t care about Ronny, Ronny doesn’t care about me.

“All I care about is MUFC.”

The video itself has gone viral with it being viewed over 2.7million times on the platform.

While some Manchester United fans supported the chant on social media, other football fans thought it was disrespectful to the former favourite.

One commented: “The disrespect is unbelievable from United fans”.

A second wrote: “Top scorer last season, won their last Champions League, the disrespect is unreal.”

A third added: “United fans begged for a player to speak out, Ronaldo spoke out, United fans turn on him.”

A fourth said: “Would never see any other club in the world speak of a club legend like that. United in the mud.”

In the club’s matchday programme for the match, there was an 81-word message outlining that Ronaldo had left the club.

In the next round of the Carabao Cup, Manchester United will host League One side Charlton Athletic.
