The club’s new third kit was released on Friday with three central logos of the famous devil crest, Snapdragon fireball and ‘ three-stripe emblem.
This design was agreed between all parties to mark a fresh style and clean look unique for this season.
But a club statement has also revealed why the Snapdragon symbol will NOT be present on their shirts when they use it in the .
It said: “The Reds are due to sport the jersey when required across domestic competition this term, although rules mean that the ‘Snapdragon’ wordmark will be added to our players’ shirts for any matches it is worn in.
“This is because the same version of a logo must be used across all of a club’s kits in the tournament, so the sponsor on the third strip needs to match that on our new home and away releases, which feature the wordmark.”
Snapdragon have been Man Utd’s front-of-shirt sponsor since the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
The club’s kits will also be manufactured by adidas until 2033 after signing a 10-year extension in 2023 worth a minimum of £900million.
Earlier this month they signed a deal with Betway as a training kit sponsor worth £20m a season.
