A TEENAGER is currently fighting for his life after being shot multiple times in a shocking attack on a residential street.
Emergency services were dispatched to a location in Huyton, Merseyside, following the incident in which the teenager sustained gunshot wounds to his back and leg last night.
Chief Inspector Andy Hughes stated: “We are still in the very early stages of the investigation.
“We are committed to identifying the individual or individuals responsible for this crime.
“A young man is presently in the hospital with severe injuries. I am sure the community will be deeply disturbed by the events of this evening.
“I want to assure local residents, as well as the broader Merseyside community, that we are treating this incident with the utmost seriousness.
“We are relentless in our efforts to combat gun crime.
“This is a residential area, and there may be individuals who witnessed the incident. I encourage those who have information to share it with us.
“Additionally, if you possess CCTV or dashcam footage, please inform us if you captured anything relevant.
“Even the smallest details could be crucial to our investigation.
“Public information is essential for dismantling organized crime groups.
“I urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.”
