According to Wakil, Peter was killed at the scene, while Danladi suffered multiple machete wounds to the head and was rushed to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care.

A police team led by the Divisional Police Officer visited the scene to gather evidence and to track those responsible for the attack.
