Man hangs self in Adamawa

A man in Adamawa State has committed suicide by hanging himself.

The incident took place in Doubeli, a residential community in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.

Witnesses said his corpse was found swinging from a tree at Sauki Transport Motor Park at Doubeli Junction.

The man, whose identity is yet to be revealed, left no clue for his actions, but random commentators suggest that he chose the grim way out due to social pressures arising from the prevailing economic difficulties.

The police had not provided a definite response to inquiries up to just before noon on Saturday when this report was being concluded.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, merely said the state police command had commenced an investigation into the situation.
