MANCHESTER CITY are prepared to sell Rodri this summer after he admitted to being open to joining Real Madrid – but he has also been offered a new contract.

He has a little over one year left on his current deal at the Etihad after last signing an extension in 2022.
And Fabrizio Romano has revealed that have now tabled fresh terms to Rodri as they look to resolve his uncertain future.
The Spaniard moved to City from in 2019 and has gone on to become one of the best midfielders in the world, winning four Prem titles.
But a return to Spain is on his mind with interest from .
Romano confirms their admiration, adding that it will be Rodri’s decision over whether he stays or not.
An exit this summer for the 29-year-old, , has not been ruled out.
City would demand a big fee for the player but are also aware he could leave for free in 2027 if nothing is agreed.
Rodri recently said: “I have one year left on my contract. At some point we will have to sit down and talk.
“Even though I’ve played for Atletico, [Real] Madrid is not a closed door for me.
“You can’t refuse the best clubs.
“I would like to return to the Spanish League – I still follow it.
“I hadn’t planned to play outside of Spain – but City came up.
“The Premier League is my weakness and a thrilling league – but it is a very demanding league. It pushes you to the limit.
“I’ve been there seven years now and I’m noticing that time is passing. But for now I am very happy there.”
Rodri played in both Champions League last-16 legs against Madrid last month as City were knocked out.
He has only started 14 PL matches this season, though.
