A TOURIST was allegedly raped in the toilets of Majorcan nightclub by a man who filmed the attack and posted the footage online.

The woman was left bleeding from her knees as she desperately tried to escape her attacker at the nightspot in Playa de Palma, near the capital.

A German man, whose age has not been revealed, has been arrested on suspicion of rape following the horrifying ordeal.

Police said the victim had previously met the suspect, who repeatedly flirted with her despite being told she did not want to have sex with him.

When she went to the toilets, the man attempted to follow her but was stopped by security staff.

He allegedly slipped past them when they were distracted and the woman was inside.

The suspect then grabbed her and forced her onto her knees as she desperately struggled to break free.

Police said her knees began bleeding as she tried to stand up and crawl away before the man allegedly raped her without a condom.

During the attack, the woman reportedly spotted him filming the assault and sending the footage to others through a messaging app.

She eventually managed to open the bathroom door, where security staff rushed to help her and alerted police.

Officers arrived to find the distressed tourist crying as a friend helped translate her account of the ordeal.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of rape, while the woman was taken to hospital for treatment before making a formal police complaint.

Her nationality has not been disclosed.

A National Police spokesman confirmed: “Officers in Palma have arrested a man of German origin for sexually assaulting a tourist by raping her.”

Police said the woman had made it clear to the suspect that she did not want to have sex with him.

They added: “When she tried to resist, she injured her knees and they began to bleed as she tried to get up and crawl away to escape him.”

The arrest follows a string of disturbing sexual assault cases involving tourists on the Spanish holiday island.

In July, a 50-year-old masseur was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant British holidaymaker at her hotel in Calas de Mallorca.

The 30-year-old woman had booked a massage at the resort on the island’s eastern coast when the worker allegedly began touching her inappropriately.

She told police the session had initially been normal before he moved his hands up her inner thigh towards her groin.

Despite her demands to stop, he allegedly inserted two fingers inside her.

The terrified woman fled the treatment room screaming for help, prompting hotel staff to rush to her aid.

She then returned to her room to tell her husband what had happened and showered before police were called.

Officers found her “highly distressed and crying” and had to calm her down.

In another case in May, a van driver was arrested on suspicion of abducting and sexually assaulting a young British tourist in Palma.

The woman had been walking back to her hotel from a nightspot when the suspect allegedly grabbed her on the street and forced her into his vehicle.

Detectives said he seized her by the arm, pushed her into the passenger seat and drove off before sexually assaulting her.

She managed to escape when the van stopped at a red light and two witnesses travelling in a car behind intervened.

The pair had seen the abduction and photographed the van’s number plate, helping police track down and arrest the suspect.

The attack happened in the early hours of May 11 on Palma’s seafront promenade, Paseo Maritimo.

Just days earlier, on May 1, another tourist was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men after having her drink spiked in a bar in Manacor.

The woman, whose nationality has not been revealed, said she began feeling unwell after leaving her drink unattended while visiting the toilet.

Two men she had met that evening offered to drive her back to her hotel but allegedly took her to a patch of waste ground instead.

She was then sexually assaulted in the back seat of their car, police said.

The woman eventually escaped and begged nearby residents for help, prompting them to contact police.

Two men were arrested over the attack.
