A MAN has been arrested after an alleged indecent exposure and assault involving a woman and a child.

The 41-year-old man was arrested yesterday after the incident in Leeds on Sunday and he remains in custody.

Specialist officers from Leeds safeguarding are supporting the victims while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “A man has been arrested over an indecent exposure and assault in Leeds.

“The 41-year-old man was arrested this afternoon in relation to an incident involving a woman and child in York Road on Sunday, 30 August.

“The man remains in custody and specialist officers from Leeds Safeguarding are carrying out enquiries and are continuing to support the victims.

“We would like to thank everyone who assisted in sharing the appeal and who contacted us with information.”
