MARRIED At First Sight star Steven’s ex has taken a swipe at him after she claimed he “abandoned her” to go on the show.
TikTok star Melissa Stacey shared a video revealing the footballer had dated her prior to going on the show.

But Steven has insisted he and Melissa were never ‘official’
But she claimed Steven did not tell her that he had signed up for the E4 experiment, despite him wooing her for months.
The video showed Melissa looking less than impressed along with a caption that read: “The same person who can buy you 100 roses and date you for months, can also lie to you and disappear to get married on national TV,” with a crying emoji.
Her fans quickly took to the comment section, with one writing: “Omg I was wondering what happened with you and him!!! wtf honestly you can’t make it up nowadays.”
A third said: “What the hell, you’re so much better then that hun you deserve the world.”
This third fan posted: “Wtf!! If it is Steven, I’ve just searched him and Melissa even if he did seem like a nice person at the time you can do soooo much better. You are beautiful inside and out girl don’t forget it.”
Melissa replied to the follower and confirmed it was Steven, while taking a cheeky swipe at him, saying: “He seemed nice, showed his real colours eventually. Genuinely wish him the best though.”
But in response, Steven has insisted his relationship with Melissa naturally came to an end, but praised his ex as a “lovely girl”.
Steven shared: “Melissa is a lovely girl and yes we dated for a couple of months, but ultimately things did not progress into anything official as I didn’t see a future in us. I then went onto the show to find a wife.”
The Sun reached out to Channel 4 reps for comment.
E4 viewers have been hooked on the series so far.
Earlier this week Steven tied the knot with stunning cosmetic dentist Nelly.
After a fairytale wedding, Steven then dropped a bombshell, telling his new bride that he has two children.
At first, Nelly reassured him, saying: “You’ve made me just feel really, really comfortable, and I just want you to know that you can always be honest with me.”
Steven then said: “So, obviously we’re both family orientated?”
To which Nelly agreed: “Yeah.”
Steven pressed on: “What I need is to tell you. I wanted to bring it up sooner. I needed to find the right moment. Alone time, away from sort of families, just me and you. So I’m a dad. Got two kids.”
Nelly looks stony-faced as she processed the bombshell.
She replied: “I’m glad that you could share that with me.”
Steven added: “Obviously, they are sorting my world kind of thing.”
He then revealed that he’s a father of two, which Nelly replied saying it didn’t bother her.
The pair have instantly hit it off and have are one of the strongest couples so far in the experiment.
