She was 22 when she decided to get a boob job, which she now regrets after battling a slew of health conditions.
Speaking to The Sun in an exclusive interview, Bronte has opened up about battling breast implant illness, which has left her poorly and sick for years.
After noticing different health patterns and symptoms, Bronte became concerned that the £4K boob job she got was to blame.
“About two years after I got them put in, I started to notice that my gut inflammation was just getting worse,” Bronte, who had long suffered with gut issues, explained.
Bronte then recalled how she wanted answers and decided to visit a Chinese medicine doctor, who told her: “You’ve got a really, congested liver.”
She then recalled: “And I was like, ‘how do I have a congested liver?’
“I eat like a saint, I eat anti-inflammatory, I’ve done everything. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my health.”
Elaborating on suffering from breast implant illness and how she found out what was causing her ill-health, Bronte said: “So the inflammation from the implants has been so harsh on my body that my body has not been able to process the hormones properly.”
She then went to visit another doctor who told her that her body was “preparing for early menopause at the age of 30”.
She asked her doctor: “Do you think that this has got to do with my implants?
“And he’s like, ‘100%’,” she recalled.
Recalling what else her doctor told her two years ago, Bronte said: “He’s like, we see it so much in women who have implants, the inflammation in their body.
“He goes, if you had not have tried to get on top of this, with how bad your estrogen was, you would have ended up with breast cancer.”
She also detailed how the inflammation caused by her breast implants led to her premenstrual syndrome worsening.
What is Breast Implant Illness?
BREAST implants and enlargements are leading cosmetics surgeries around the world. In the UK, roughly 30,000 to 40,000 women undergo the surgery annually, according to Aura Clinics.
According to breastcancer.org, breast implant illness (BII) “is a condition that isn’t well understood, but its symptoms can be debilitating”.
- chronic fatigue
- joint and muscle pain
- memory and concentration problems
- breathing problems
- sleep disturbance
- rashes and other skin problems
- dry mouth and dry eyes
- anxiety
- depression
- headaches
- hair loss
- gastrointestinal problems
The website explains, “in many, but not all cases, surgery to remove the breast implants improves or completely resolves the breast implant illness symptoms”.
“My PMS is like it’s on steroids,” she said.
“Like, I will hysterically cry for days before my period. I’m hysterical. It’s like my life’s over, and I’m like, I’ve never had this”
Due to the gut issues and liver inflammation she experienced, Bronte was determined to get fit and well.
She spent over £4,000 ($7,500 Australian dollars) to get the implants, and then £30,000 ($60,000 Australian dollars) on her health and righting herself.

Bronte will now spend a further £4,000 ($7,500 Australian dollars) to get her implants removed.
Speaking about the eye-wateringly high cost, Bronte said: “Seven and a half grand, restructuring myself (getting the initial boob job when she was 22).
“I only need to spend triple the amount of that to fix myself, like, because they made me so sick.”
Bronte went on to add: “I reckon I have spent almost 60,000 Australian dollars trying to get better.”
The reality star has an appointment soon with a “gentle” surgeon to remove her breast implants.
She plans to get her implants removed within a few months, and is already excited for her future without them,
“It’s time,” Bronte said about bidding her implants farewell.
“I want to love myself in a different way. This is an exciting new version of me.
“It’s gonna be weird, and it’s gonna be an adjustment, but I’m excited.
“I genuinely can’t wait. This really pinnacle point in my life where I’m like, that last 10 years, I can put to rest.
“I can rip these out and go good riddance.
“I’m gonna live the rest of my life inflammation-free, no anxiety, I can sleep through the night, no night sweats until I’m well into my 40s.”
“My lungs. I don’t think they know what air is,” she explained, revealing how the implants restrict her breathing.
“I just want to be able to think clearly, no brain fog,” she added.
“The fact that we put ourselves through surgery for fashion, for a beauty standard. It’s really mind-boggling, isn’t it?” Bronte asked.
