A CONTROVERSIAL Married At First Sight groom has broken his silence after co-star Julia-Ruth let slip their sex secret.

After the personal trainer returned to social media , he then posted a selfie showing him flashing a smile as he stared into the camera.
Joe, who previously about his tryst with Julia-Ruth, even issued a “sorry” as part of his lengthy “MAFS sign out.”
He wrote: “I went into the experience with genuine intentions, but soon realised the true nature of the ‘experiment’.
“It’s a reality show, created to entertain the viewers and divide opinion.
“I removed myself from the ‘experiment’ and I know that I stayed true to myself. I was never disloyal. I didn’t stay for air time. I didn’t act up to the camera, which can’t be said for some people.”
Seemingly referring to his actions with Julia-Ruth, which when he was then a no-show at the MAFS reunion – he added: “Although as a single man I reserve the right to do as I please, I understand that some people may see my actions as insensitive.
“My intention was never to hurt anyone, and if I did trigger or upset anybody through my actions, I’m genuinely sorry.
“Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I am only human. I have made mistakes and maybe should have navigated some things differently, but ultimately I know that I didn’t act with any malice.
“The fact is, no one knows the truth of what actually happens in MAFS.
“I have learnt that some people will lie, deceive and tread on others to get where they want to be.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

Joe tied the knot with Maeve Mathieson in the current series.
