MARRIED AT First Sight bride Ella Morgan has revealed the sad reason she’s been missing from social media.

The star – who made history as the matchmaking series’ first-ever trans bride – admitted her “life has changed so much” and opened up on the things which had “taken its toll”.

, 32, who has used her huge profile from the show to campaign for trans rights, told how her eating disorder had returned – and she had moved in with her nan to stop her being taken into a care home.

The alum opened her Stories post with the words: “Hey everyone.

“I just wanted to come on and explain why I’ve been quiet and absent on social media for the past few weeks.

“My life has changed so much since entering the public eye three years ago and there have been so many ups but also brought some down sides.

“I’ve been non stop for three years and rarely taken some time out.

“Trolling on what I say or how I look or just being me, being trans, has gotten worse as the years have gone by trying to tear me down”.

Ella then told how she was “masking” how she was genuinely feeling, which was “not healthy”.

She candidly admitted she felt “shame” being “so raw” and added: “My mental health has really declined recently and I’ve needed to take some time away to protect my peace and focus on myself.

“It’s just been a huge amount of different things in my personal life which have taken its toll”.

Talking of her eating disorder, she added: “My eating disorder has creeped back in after years of doing so well, I relapsed and I’m trying my best not to let it win.

“It’s also been emotionally exhausting and overwhelming to constantly see negativity and uncertainty around simply existing as yourself”.

Bristol-based Ella then told of moving in with her nan “so I can help care for her as much as I can, so she doesn’t go into a home, which has been another huge life adjustment”.

They are engaged and are planning their legal wedding.

Following Zoe’s proposal, Jenna said: “Not to be cliché but I genuinely didn’t think that this type of love actually existed, to have someone who loves you, cares and respects you as much as you do them, is the most incredible feeling.. and now I get to marry my best friend instead of a stranger!”

  • Matt Murray & Shona Manderson (Series 8, 2023)

Matt and Shona were matched with other people on the show but formed a relationship after the experiment ended and are still together.

Earlier this year Matt presented Shona with a promise ring. He said in a show reunion: “I can’t thank you enough. Shona, I want to show you how committed I am with this ring.

“So please take this as a vow that one day in the near future, you will be my wife and the most gorgeous mother of my children.”

The inspirational TV star rounded off her message by vowing to return to social media when she is “stronger” and pleading for fans to “be kind”.
