A MAJOR motorway is closed in one direction – with commuters warned of delays.
The M6 is partially shut today, causing three miles of congestion and 20 minute waiting times.
The planned works on the northbound route between Junction 5 Castle Bromwich and Junction 6 A38 Aston was due to finish at 6am on Tuesday.
However, National Highways says it is “likely to overrun its end time”.
It added: “The closure will be removed as soon as the resurfacing works are completed.
“Allow extra journey time in the area this morning.”
