A MAJOR motorway has been forced to close near a busy airport following a “serious collision” – sparking rush hour chaos.

Cops have launched an urgent investigation into the crash, which occurred just after midnight.
The stretch between Junction 3, for Harrow, and Junction 4B, for Heathrow, has been shut for more than six hours.
A diversion route is now in place for commuters, with two miles of congestion along the road.
National Highways said: “M4 westbound in Greater London remains closed between J3 & J4B following a serious collision.
“@metpoliceuk continue their investigations.
“Delays are building, currently 20mins and 2 miles of congestion on the approach.”
