MOTORISTS are experiencing significant delays on the M25 due to a collision and vehicle blaze.

National Highways reported that traffic has been halted on the anti-clockwise lane between junction 29, located at Romford, and junction 28, situated at Brentwood.

Emergency services arrived at the scene around 7 AM, with reports indicating approximately four miles of tailbacks, according to National Highways.

Lane 1 has since reopened past the incident site.

However, lanes 2, 3, and 4 remain closed while crews work to clear an oil spill from the roadway, as stated by National Highways.

With delays exceeding 60 minutes beyond the usual travel time, motorists are urged to allocate additional travel time or consider alternative routes.
