LUKE LITTLER will participate in the World Youth Championship just hours after securing victory at the Grand Prix.
At 18 years old, he achieved a 6-1 victory in Leicester, earning yet another prestigious title.

In an interview with Sky Sports right after his victory, Littler surprisingly announced that he would travel to Wigan, just 15 miles from his hometown of Warrington, to compete in the World Youth Championship on Monday.
Littler stated: “I’ll head to the World Youth tomorrow and just have some fun, catch up with everyone.”
“I doubt anyone will be friendly with me tomorrow, but it’s only a 20-minute drive, so I’ll give it my best shot!”
Littler needs to sign in by 11 AM on Monday morning to participate in the event.
The young player won the Youth tournament two years ago, defeating Gian van Veen in the final.
Van Veen, a 23-year-old from the Netherlands, claimed the title in Littler's absence last year.
Littler's choice is surprising, especially since he mentioned over the summer that he had “little to gain” by participating.
However, he added tonight: “I could have taken a day off, but why not compete in the World Youth and the two Pro Tours in Wigan? Then I’ll finally have the weekend off.”
The preliminary rounds of the World Youth Championship will take place at Wigan’s Robin Park.
The two finalists will meet again in the Minehead final on November 23 during the Players Championships.
The top prize for this event is £12,000, which is a fraction of what Littler just earned for winning the World Grand Prix.
Fans appreciated Littler’s unexpected decision, with one referring to it as: “Elite level s***housery.”
Another fan humorously remarked: “Those kids gotta learn the hard way.”
Following his remarkable victory, Littler is now just £70,000 behind in the rankings.
Littler expressed: “I’m very pleased to have achieved this. It wasn’t the easiest tournament. This week has been extremely challenging.”
“There aren’t many competitors left. I learned during the World Matchplay that I need to hit the big out shots when Luke puts me under pressure.”
“I couldn’t ease off the gas. I’m really happy to win.”
“I have many more years ahead to achieve that nine-darter with a double start. The prize money gap between us is not significant. Luke will now realize that I’m right behind him – and coming for him.”
