LUKE LITTLER intends to spend part of his £1 million World Darts Championship winnings on football stickers.

The Nuke, 18, secured the sport’s largest prize after his 7-1 victory over Gian van Veen on Saturday night at Ally Pally.

One of his interests is collecting sports trading cards. He was introduced to the live-shopping app Whatnot by his friend Angry Ginge, who won last year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle show.

He mentioned: “I’m currently into cards, so I might treat myself to a few boxes. Just a few.”

“Panini cards, Topps cards, anything. It’s Ginge’s influence really; he got me into Whatnot.”

“You bid, and they will open a box and say you get a Ronaldo card. I’ll definitely treat myself to that.”

Last year, Littler indulged himself with a £39,000 car – complete with a personalized number plate – which he acquired after passing his theory test on the eighth attempt and then his practical exam.

However, he does not plan to upgrade that model just yet, stating, “I’ll have to get a year on the insurance before changing it.”

Littler will now enjoy a week at home with the Sid Waddell Trophy before heading to the Middle East for consecutive World Series events in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The world No. 1 will then travel with his girlfriend Faith to Dubai for a brief holiday to celebrate his 19th birthday on January 21.

The Warrington star has £2,770,500 in his PDC ranking and aims to surpass £3 million this year.

He stated: “Clearly, it’s a substantial amount of money. I’m the first player to exceed the £2 million mark.”

“Of course, the money is significant. My family has never had this kind of wealth.”

“So I won’t waste it. I’m not going to change. I won’t start buying extravagant things. I’ll just remain true to myself.”

“I don’t need to change. This is who I am. Even when I’m at home, I’m the same person.”
