LUKE LITTLER has declared his intention to achieve a nine-darter at the World Grand Prix after decisively defeating defending champion Mike De Decker.
The reigning world champion, at just 18 years old, is on track for another major televised event in the PDC.

— who has now won all SEVEN encounters with De Decker — is eager to make a statement in this distinctive double-start event, which would culminate in a perfect leg ending on the Bull.
The world No.2, who averaged over 91 compared to De Decker’s disappointing 74.22, remarked: “I enjoy breaking records; I enjoy setting new ones.
“I hope to achieve a nine-darter at this tournament, whether it's this year or next year, I'm confident I will.”
Showman Littler secured his victory with a Big Fish 170, landing on the Bull with his final throw.
He went on to express that he “expected more” from the reigning World Grand Prix champion De Decker.
The Nuke explained: “I obviously want every opponent to perform their best against me.
“Since I joined the tour, I’ve always had a target on my back.
“I don't want to say nobody's, but everyone strives to perform well against me. They aim for ton-plus averages because they need to.
“However, Mike just didn’t play anywhere near his best.”
“It was somewhat dull; I anticipated more from the reigning champion.
“He struggled to hit those doubles consistently, which hindered his scoring, and I just had to do my job.”
World No.33 Dirk van Duijvenbode lost only two out of 11 legs, easily defeating Northern Ireland’s Daryl Gurney 3-0 in the preceding match.
The tall Dutchman will now compete against Wales’ sixth seed Jonny Clayton, who overcame unseeded Englishman Luke Woodhouse 3-1 in a lackluster contest.
Littler is set to face Gerwyn Price, who triumphed over Josh Rock 3-0 in the final match of the evening.
