LUKE LITTLER was brutally booed for the third Premier League Darts night in a row – this time in Liverpool.

The world No1, 19, has won back-to-back world championships and has taken the sporting world by storm.

But despite his huge fame and popularity, he remains the .

Warrington-born Littler is a massive Manchester United fan – Liverpool’s arch-rivals – and he has never been afraid to mock the Reds when the opportunity arises.

So it was little wonder the Merseyside crowd took their chance to aim a cheeky dig back at the teenage sensation.

As soon as the MC started to announce Littler for the start of his walk-on, a section of the crowd jeered.

They were drowned out by his song and he refused to react – and instead kept a laser-like focus as he got underway at the oche.

The jokers booed again as Littler stepped up to throw his first darts – then cheered when his first two attempts at T20 went awry.

The commentator said: “I don’t think they’re saying ‘Luke’. A frosty reception.”

Littler did not let the partisan crowd get under his skin as he broke Humphries’ throw in the first leg then checked out in the mad house for 2-0 against a backdrop of taunts.

After three legs, Humphries had missed all six attempts at double and Littler found himself halfway to the semis.

Littler was also against Dutchman Gian van Veen on Night 9 in Manchester.

The Nuke appeared to mock Van Veen – who he beat in January’s Ally Pally final – for missing a match dart before the pair got into a frosty spat.

Littler missed match darts of his own before Van Veen closed out the tense 6-5 win – then the .

Van Veen said: “I see Luke celebrating because I missed and I feel like that’s not normal.

“Yes, you’re there for yourself, but don’t cheer when your opponent misses.

“Then I see him making cry baby signs towards me, which is just not done.

“He’s a fantastic darts player, but I feel like tonight his behaviour was out of order.

“I don’t know what I did wrong.”

He got a bit of the following week then because of his immature behaviour.
