LUKE LITTLER and Gian van Veen have been giving each other the silent treatment for THREE WEEKS.

They clashed on stage in earlier this month when Littler celebrated Van Veen missing a match dart in their last-leg Premier League decider.

, 19, then fluffed his own attempt to seal the match, and there was a frosty handshake with after the Dutchman finally finished it.

The darting foes have not faced off at any of the three Premier League meetings since.

And they have even been practicing in separate rooms backstage.

After a superb in on Thursday, Littler admitted that there have been no clear-the-air talks.

He said: “We’ve not spoken but I’m not the type of person to go up and talk to him or something like that.

“Maybe he is waiting for me to go and talk to him but I’m not the type of person, even in the practice room.

“People talk to me first, I’m not the type of person to be chatting away. We can settle it on the dartboard. I think he’s forgotten about it, I’ve forgotten about it.”

A tasty rivalry is brewing between the two young throwers.

SCHEDULE AND RESULTS

And although Van Veen got the better of their Manchester showdown, Littler won their mammoth meeting in January’s World Championship final and sits comfortably inside the Prem playoff spots while Van Veen has work to do in fifth.

Littler added: “It’s been a tough couple of weeks but I’ve just had to get on with it and play my darts. That’s what I’ve done and getting this nightly win puts my confidence right back up there.

“I moved on the day after it happened, I went on holiday. I moved on and now I look forward to the future.”

Van Veen said he “loves Luke to bits” but insists the teenager was “out of order” in Manchester.

Littler continued: “I don’t regret anything. I’ve got my opinion, he’s got his opinions – we’re all entitled to it.

“We’ve both moved on with our game on stage. Off stage we’ve not spoken but I’m sure we will.”
