JOSH ROCK is so good it’s “a joke”.
That is the view of ex-darts player Matt Edgar, who has tipped Rock to become a major threat to world champ Luke Littler.

World No 11 Rock won the World Cup for Northern Ireland this year and reached two Euro Tour finals.
He also lost out narrowly to The Nuke in July’s Matchplay last four.
Edgar says Rock, 24, can challenge for big titles, telling talkSPORT: “The guy is a joke, in the best way. I won’t ask ‘How good is he?’. We know.
“He said at the start of the year he wanted to be right up there with Littler.
“He’s getting very close. It’s not a matter of if he wins a Major, but when.
“The other question is Premier League selection — and I think he’s in right now.
“He plays with so much adrenaline and intensity that he burns out a little as the day goes on. In week-long formats, he’ll have the time to reset and I think that him.”
Littler has set the world alight since storming the stage as a 16-year-old but Rock could be the one that truly pushes him to the level.
Taking to , the 18-year-old revealed he had taken the difficult decision to take a “step back”.
In a 50-second video posted online, Littler appeared on screen in a white T-shirt and grey jogging bottoms as he sat down.
Littler said: “I’ve had an awesome career. I couldn’t ask much better for myself. You know it’s been two full-on years.
“The Premier League at the age of 17 on debut, the nine darters on TV, winning the world championships at 18 – the youngest to ever do it.
“I just want to say thank you to all my fans because the last two years have been phenomenal.
“It’ll shock some people. It’s not been an easy decision. Now I want to focus and do something I really love.”
However, after leaving his seat, the microphone picks up some chatter from Littler in the background, which hears him saying: “Do you think they’ll fall for that.”
While the announcement left many fans in meltdown, others believe it is all a ruse and may in fact be teasing a promotional announcement.
