LUKE LITTLER insists his bid to make darts history is “definitely on”.

Littler, 19, has already captured the World Championship, Masters, UK Open, World Cup and World Matchplay this year.

The teen sensation knows he will need a strong finish on the circuit to secure his place at the Players Championship Finals, which take place from November 27 to 29.

“Then I go on to win the game. Sometimes it can get really, really close. Last-leg deciders, winning by two clear legs.

“Everyone knows I’ve got to go to the Leicester ProTours. The next one to look for is the World Series in Amsterdam.

“If I win that, then it’s Monday and Tuesday in Den Bosch for more ProTours. We’re looking further into it.

“The clean sweep is definitely on.”

Littler will return to action on August 25 at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena for Players Championship 27.

The 14-time major winner opted to skip his Australian Darts Masters and New Zealand Masters title defences next month to with girlfriend Faith and his family.
