Allegedly responsible for the deaths of 15 individuals in Sydney on December 14, the second suspected shooter is Sajid's son, Naveed Akram.

The attack specifically targeted Jewish families and resulted in 42 people being hospitalized.

The footage further depicts Maui frantically running around the park as people sought cover from the gunfire.

Following the circulation of the distressing video online, Arthur and Co. Pet Detectives founder Anne-Marie Curry advocated for the brave dog to be reunited with her owners.

Tragically, Maui's owner, a man who has not yet been identified, was among the 15 victims of the massacre.

It is believed that the deceased was walking Maui and another dog with his wife when the shooting commenced.

The second dog, a small white poodle, emerged uninjured.

According to Pet Detectives founder Curry, Maui is now safe with the victim's wife after community groups collaborated to locate her.

She stated to news.com.au: “There is footage of Maui standing over several victims after her owner was shot. She was right in the line of fire.”

Arthur and Co. Pet Detectives described the owner's death as “such a tragedy” and expressed disbelief in a Facebook post.

The post stated: “Thankfully, we’ve just received confirmation that both of the victim’s dogs (Maui the Bernese and the smaller white poodle) are safe.”

The Pet Detectives expressed gratitude to “everyone who came forward to assist” in the search for Maui.

They added: “Tragic times and events remind us of the importance of supporting one another, helping without ulterior motives or fear, and doing what is necessary to assist our community when it is needed the most.”

One commenter shared that he was friends with the murdered owner.
