But viewers quickly spotted what they thought was a very telling detail in presenterwording.
Rather than saying the unlucky pair would be “dumped from the Island”, Maya, 31, instead said they would be leaving the “villa” – which could mean that they may not be gone for good.
Some fans are certain that words mean that the dumped singletons are set to slow walk their way back into the show.
Viewers immediately took to social media to share theories that the dumped contestants could be heading to a secret second location ahead of

One viewer wrote on Reddit : “At least Maya said dumped from the Villa, not the island. Whoever gets dumped might just be going to a sleepover Villa or will come back in Casa.
“I’d quite like it this year if (depending on how the season is playing out) there was an opportunity to vote back in islanders that were dumped by bombshells/the other islanders even as part of deciding who comes into Casa.”
Others agreed the wording felt deliberate, with many now convinced producers are planning another major twist later in the series.
Plus, this year’s brutal dumpings appear to be very different from the traditional format fans are used to.
Usually, when asteals someone’s partner during a recoupling, the single Islander left behind is dramatically dumped from the Island.
But this season, it seems the Islanders could be sent home for any reason, meaning nobody in the villa is safe.
Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9:00pm
