LOVE Island All Star Konnor Ewudzi has revealed what lies ahead for his fledgling romance with Imani Wheeler.

The attractive pair hit it off in the villa after spending time getting to know other Islanders.

However, as an official pairing before they were eliminated from the villa on Day 21.

Three weeks later, they returned for the series final together, confirming their connection was stronger than some viewers gave them credit for.

Now, in his first interview since returning to the UK, Konnor has opened up to The Sun about their connection.

He says: “I think that’s the thing with me and Imani, we’re still getting to know each other. Everything is still very fresh, but we do talk every day, we FaceTime every day, and we do really get along.

“The distance is a big thing. Obviously her being in the States and me being in the UK, but 100 per cent I want to get out there on a holiday. I know she’s planning to come here this summer on holiday.

“I still want to carry on getting to know her and exploring that connection because we do get along really well.”

Neither Konnor or Imani are rushing to put a title on their situation, though there is intimacy when they’re together.

“I think it would be way too soon to be putting any sort of title on anything,” says Konnor. “We’re getting along, we kiss, we cuddle when we see each other, but it’s just that distance that’s in between us now.”

Final night was full of glitz, drama, and a £50,000 windfall for runaway winners and Ciaran Davies.

But in the days leading up to it, the returning Islanders were able to enjoy South Africa free from the confines of the villa.

Show bosses even splashed out on a safari experience for them as a thank you for the entertainment they have given this series.

“Safari was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done,” says Konnor. “I was probably two metres from a lion.

“The safari was definitely a massive highlight and the production wanted to give back to us guys for kind of being a part of it all.”

The returning girls and boys were kept apart ahead of the final, likely so that any potentially juicy conversations were saved for the cameras.

And that certainly seemed to prove a smart move as US beauty Kyra Lizama wasted no time taking her former partner to task for effectively declaring himself single on Valentine’s Day, as well as for claiming she and Curtis had secret sex in the villa.

While had some flirty comments for , who is getting to know Harrison Solomon.

Konnor didn’t get the chance to clarify the reason he voted for Scott van-der-Sluis to leave the villa during his return two days ahead of the final.

The dumped Islanders each had to choose a couple to send packing, and Welshman Scott was Konnor’s choice based on comments he made in the pool earlier in the series.

Konnor suggested Scott used his four show experiences to manipulate public feeling, claiming that he said: “We’re halfway through the show now maybe this is the right time to do something crazy.”

There was a bit of backlash, with some fans accusing Konnor of trying to stir the pot, but he insists that wasn’t the case.

“It wasn’t just Curtis in the pool, I was also at the pool too,” he says. “These are things that I’ve heard directly.

“You can’t control that [the edit]. I love Leanne, I adore that girl, and I even get along with Scott as well, so you don’t really want to be throwing shade at people or whatever, but you’re there to give your opinion and you have to pick somebody.

“I’ve watched it and it is confusing, but I just wanted to clear it up that I wouldn’t just take someone else’s word for what’s been said. I was there and I heard it.”

There’s no bad blood between Konnor and Scott though, and the drama of the last elimination had been forgotten by final night.

Konnor relished his second time on the show, preferring it to his first stint, though he insists that he won’t be back for a third time.

“I think my time on Love Island is done,” he says. “I’ve done the original one, I’ve done the All Stars, and I’m happy with that being like the end of my Love Island experience.
