LOVE Island Australia star Lexy Thornberry has revealed she’s battling head and neck cancer.
The Islander, 24, shared her news on social media with emotional snaps of her in hospital.

Lexy – who starred in the 2021 series of Australian Love Island – shocked fans when she shared her heartbreaking news that she had .
This type of cancer affects the mouth, throat and sinuses, and can be life threatening if not caught early.
However, with the right treatment it can be managed, and even beaten by patients.
Lexi revealed that she will soon start chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Sharing a slew of pictures from hospital on , she penned a heartfelt message which read: “I am 24 years old and I have been diagnosed with cancer.
“No, sadly I’m not joking. They put me in a robe for my X–ray,’ she continued.
“I thought it was so dramatic. A couple days later I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer…”
Lexy then went on to reveal how her cancer diagnosis came as a complete “shock”.
“I’m a Pilates instructor and I teach people how to live healthy lives,” she wrote.
“There’s nothing I did wrong, nothing that could have prevented it.
“It’s just the luck of the draw. But it is something I will FIGHT.”
Talking about how she would fight her cancer, she wrote: “I am starting treatment and ask people to respect my privacy during this extremely difficult time.
“This is all I’m willing to share at the moment and ask everybody to keep their questions to themselves,” she wrote.
Fans immediately rushed to share their support for Lexy, with one writing: “You will beat this lovely Lexy!”

It comes after Lexi only recently announced she had got engaged to .
In May, New Zealander David got down on one knee during a romantic holiday to .
He later revealed their big plans for the future, telling Woman’s Day : “I’ve been ready for my thirties for a couple of years now.
“I’ve got my chickens, my garden and my mowing equipment. I’m ready for kids and ready for a dog. I’m ready for the rest of life, man!”
Lexi entered the Love Island Australia villa on day three of the 2021 series and coupled up with Ryan Reid.
But she was dumped after being left single following the final recoupling and dumped from the show.
Ryan had his head turned by Casa Amor bombshell Tayla Mellington, and Lexy later confessed she was stunned by this.
She told WHO : “I was very, very shocked because we were very strong.
“And he actually did tell me the day before Casa that he saw me in his life after the show, because that was one of the questions I asked on the compatibility test, which wasn’t aired.”
