She started the post with an example of where she was seen as the “bad cop” after telling her daughter Amara to sit up straight, turn a light on and try to eat healthier after sitting in the dark while in their study.

This then led her on to talk about the dynamics in her relationship and she went on to say: “I honestly don’t mind sharing this with you, because yesterday I think was a real turning point for me. You know when the straw breaks the camel’s back.

“That’s where I am right now. It’s constantly and I can’t deal with it anymore. I don’t want to deal with it.

“I don’t want to be this woman that is by the time I’m 65, I’m so f***ing knackered, mentally broken, emotionally drained. Just gone. I don’t want to be that woman.

“I think I am actually more angry at Steve than I am at the kids to be honest.

“Kids are kids, but he’s a grown a** man and I think, you know, like the gaslighting thing, it happens quite a lot.

“It happens quite a lot and it pisses me off.

“It’s not really fair that I’m talking about our relationship and he’s not here to defend himself, but I am only just talking from my perspective.

“I think there are certain things in relationships aren’t they, that make you feel really disappointed, and I know that I disappoint him.

“One of the things that he doesn’t like about me is that I am very forceful, and I can get angry.

“The funny thing is you see, I don’t even think that he has that emotion of anger.

“I will admit I am angry but I don’t think anger is a bad emotion.

“If you are angry all the time, yeah then you need to sort it out, but if I was angry all the time, I wouldn’t be the person that has achieved so much in my life.

“Do you know what I mean?

“I was trying to say to him, I was like, I’m not angry at people who are reasonable, I get angry when I feel I’m being totally disrespected.

“Bloody hell, I’m having a f***ing rant in the car now, I was in the bloody bathroomthis morning.

“I thought I had got it all out, but I haven’t, I’ve still got so much angst in me.

“But it’s not fair to talk about the relationship when the other person is not here to defend themselves so I am going to stop on that.

“But suffice to say, it’s very challenging for me right now.

“It’s difficult isn’t it? Family is family, and it’s the most precious thing in the whole wide world, but you are also precious.

“Your feelings and emotions, and what you want from life are really important as well.

“It’s about balancing it up isn’t it? But you do need to support each other, you need to support each other, even when you feel like oh God, this person is driving me f***ing nuts.

“For me, that support is absolutely fundamental in a relationship. It’s so important.”

Saira has been married to her husband Steve Hyde since 2004.

The pair, who met in the late 90s, share two children Amara and Zachariah.
