JEREMIE FRIMPONG suffered another hamstring injury of the season in Liverpool’s clash against Qarabag.

The wing-back was forced off just FOUR minutes into the final league phase game of the Champions League at Anfield.

Frimpong, 25, went down after chasing down the ball where he appeared to pull his hamstring.

The Dutchman could be seen grimacing at the pain in his leg as he was attended to by the medical staff.

Team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai could tell the injury was serious as he immediately signalled to the bench.

Manager Arne Slot quickly took action to make the change as he replaced Frimpong with Wataru Endo.

Liverpool fans were shocked at the injury as they reacted on social media.

One posted: “Hamstring injury of the season for Jeremie Frimpong. We’ve cursed him.”

A second wrote: “Who cursed us this season, is what we should be asking.”

A third commented: “He was always injury prone, last summer signings was simply a disaster.”

A fourth said: “More bad luck for Liverpool.”

Another added: “Liverpool can’t catch a break at the moment.”

Slot will be hoping the injury is not a serious one as he is already without multiple defenders.

Ryan Gravenberch was filling in at centre-back alongside Virgil van Dijk due to injuries to both Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate.
