ANDONI IRAOLA has verbally agreed to take over as Liverpool’s new manager on a two-year deal, according to reports.

, 43, is set to succeed axed former boss after settling on personal terms with the Reds.

Slot on Saturday despite leading to just their second league title of the Prem era 12 months ago – with the Anfield side limping into fifth.

Reds chiefs quickly identified outgoing Bournemouth boss Iraola as their ideal successor to the Dutchman, thanks in no small part to his Jurgen Klopp style of play.

And according to transfer expert David Ornstein , the Spaniard will put pen to paper on a short, two-year contract.

Ornstein adds Iraola will insist on having Pablo de la Torre, Tommy Elphick, Shaun Cooper, Tom Webber on his staff.

Elphick, 38, recently snubbed the manager job – with the side instead turning to Lincoln boss Michael Skubala.

Liverpool are set to present Iraola as the new Kop head coach by the end of the week.

Iraola began his managerial career with AEK Larnaca before spells in his native Spain with Mirandes and Rayo Vallecano.

He moved to England in 2023, replacing Gary O’Neil at the Vitality Stadium.

Iraola led Bournemouth to 12th and ninth place finishes in his first two seasons at helm.

Last term the Cherries finished sixth in the Prem, qualifying for the for the first time in their history.

Iraola announced in April that he would be leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season.

The Cherries quickly to succeed their Liverpool-bound boss.

Iraola has been in hot demand since announcing his impending Bournemouth exit.
