LIAM Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has opened up on her grief two years after the star’s death and insisted “I’m allowed to be happy again.”

Taking to , Kate said: “My boyfriend passed away two years ago and here are some things that I learned in the past two years.
“Healing doesn’t mean that you are over it, the mindset that I am in now versus two years ago or even a year ago is totally different.
“Genuinely, when you think it’s not gonna get better, I promise you it does get better.
“There’s a saying time heals all wounds and to be honest it doesn’t fully.
“And just because time passes does not mean that your grief is just gonna go away you’ll just get better at I guess carrying the pain with you.”

However, she added: “You are allowed to be happy again and you deserve to be happy again.
“I am in a place now, after two years, where I am dating again. I have went on numerous dates really good ones and not so good ones.
“So yes, I’m learning that moving forward doesn’t always mean leaving someone behind.
“I carry Liam with me while still making room for all the beautiful things life has to offer and he will always hold such a special place in my heart.”
