Hamilton, 41, lost control on the exit of the Fagnes chicane, midway around the lap at Spa.
His right-rear wheel smashed into the barrier but his team say they are confident they will be ready in time for qualifying.

Hamilton finished the session fifth fastest, ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc.
The seven-time world champion finished third in the British Grand Prix last time out, leaving him third in the standings, 32 points behind table-topper Kimi Antonelli.
was the man to beat in FP3 in Belgium with a blistering lap time, 0.139 seconds quicker than Lando Norris.
It is worth remembering that Norris is one of several drivers facing a 10-place grid penalty this weekend for using too many engine parts.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was third fastest, 0.148secs back, followed byGeorge Russell, who was 0.367secs off the pace.
