The sweet update came after Jesy, 34, revealed .

But The Sun later told how some of Jesy’s claims in her new reality show Life After Little Mix hadn’t gone down well with the girls “opened a can of worms”.

Today Leigh, 34, appeared on Capital XTRA and got emotional as she reflected on her journey ahead of the release of her debut solo album My Ego Told Me To.

After being shown a clip of her X Factor audition, Leigh ended up in tears before being comforted by host Shayna Marie.

When asked what she’d tell other young aspiring singers, she replied: “It’s crazy. I would say, keep that fight, keep that determination.

“Keep that thing that you have when people try and tell you can’t do something; keep that thing where you just keep saying, ‘Yes, I can,’ and you do it.

“It genuinely doesn’t matter what anyone says. Like, you have so much fight and belief in yourself, and you’re going to get there and you do. And it’s not going to be easy.”

And Leigh isn’t the only Little Mix member who’s been struck down with emotions following Jesy’s claims.

While on her tour of That’s Showbiz Baby! in the US, Jade, 33, broke down in tears on stage as she performed her song Natural at Disaster.

The track is said to have been written about her struggling friendship with Jesy, with lyrics including: “It’s hard to love you when you hate yourself. Can’t be there for you without negatively impacting my mental health.”

sent Little Mix’s fanbase into a spin – with some rival supporters clashing online.

Recalling the painful breakdown of Little Mix’s friendship days before , Jesy said: “I sat everyone down to explain how I was feeling and I remember one of the responses being, ‘Are you done now? Is that it?’

“She [one of the girls] was like, ‘Can I go now?’”

Fighting back tears, Jesy added: “That made me feel really alone. I felt like there was no point. That no one cared.”

An insider later told The Sun: “Jesy’s confession has obviously opened up a can of worms for the girls.

“The documentary itself and the backlash that has followed, has brought up a lot of bad feeling from the past.

“It’s been upsetting for the girls, but they are focused on their solo careers and the future now.”
