Filming has officially begun for“Kenya in Three Meals,”;; a long-awaited spin-off of the hit variety show“New Journey to the West”;;!
On May 14, OSEN reported that Lee Soo Geun , SECHSKIES’s Eun Ji Won , and Super Junior ’s Kyuhyun recently departed Korea to begin filming for the upcoming spin-off.
Production company Egg Is Coming confirmed, “It’s true that PD Na Young Suk , Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun have left for Kenya to shoot the program. Nothing else has been finalized yet.”;;
“Kenya in Three Meals”;; is a spin-off of the tvN variety show “New Journey to the West.”;; The idea dates back to “New Journey to the West 7”;; in 2019, when Kyuhyun, Lee Soo Geun, and Eun Ji Won won a voucher for a stay at the famous Giraffe Manor in Kenya during a random prize draw.
However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and other circumstances, production was delayed indefinitely, and many assumed the spin-off had been scrapped. Now, six years later, the long-promised trip is finally happening.
