Netflix’s upcoming drama “Dear Hongrang”; has shared a closer look at the characters!
“Dear Hongrang”; is a historical mystery romance that follows Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), the long-lost son of Joseon’s largest merchant guild, who returns after 12 years with no memory of his past. As his half-sister Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah), who spent years desperately searching for him, becomes the only one to question his true identity, an inexplicable emotional bond starts to form between them.
In the new stills, Hong Rang grabs attention following his return to the Min Family’s Guild after 12 years. Min Yeon Ui (Uhm Ji Won), Hong Rang’s mother who has longed for her son for 12 years, cups Hong Rang’s face with great affection, but Hong Rang’s facial expression is difficult to read. Jae Yi, who appears extremely wary, continues to suspect Hong Rang’s real identity, making viewers curious to find out what plan she will make in order to find out the truth about Hong Rang.
However, amidst the suspicions, Hong Rang and Jae Yi face deeper emotions as they hold hands and look affectionately at each other. The gradually evolving emotions and relationship between Hong Rang and Jae Yi will create unpredictable developments, keeping viewers on their toes.
Furthermore, the stills pique interest in how Mu Jin (Jung Ga Ram) will overcome his position being at risk with Hong Rang’s return. There is also the subtle tension between Min Yeon Ui and Shim Yeol Guk (Park Byung Eun), who are a married couple but still harbor different ambitions.
Grand Prince Han Pyeong (Kim Jae Wook), who is a renowned artist, also captivates as he holds a brush in hand and focuses on his art, making viewers curious about his reason for obsessing over his art and his connection to the Min Family’s Guild.
