Lauren Wood Shrugs Off Ex Harrison's On-Air Jibe While Celebrating Love Island Winners from Her Mexican Getaway

LAUREN Wood has brushed off the scathing comments from her Love Island ex Harrison Solomon to congratulate the new All Stars winners.

She rose above his suggestions with regard to their closeness prior to his entry into the villa to upload a tribute to the show champs.

During Monday night’s final, anchor – with the pair scooping the huge cash prize.

The couple were up against four other couples in the too-close-to-call finale, with Millie Court and Zac Woodworth finishing as runners-up.

Talking ahead of their win, Ciaran admitted he was smitten, following Samie’s arrival, knowing “she was a bit of me”.

And Lauren, who has jetted off to Mexico, was quick to show her support.

She took to her Instagram Stories to re-post an image showing them all smiles after their win and wrote: “Ahhh well deserved,” followed by a host of love heart icons.

Now Lauren, who has after being caught in a lockdown with co-star Meg Moore, after a “cartel member” was shot, has had her say.

It came just hours after Harrison appeared on the final to air his blunt remarks.

Lauren and Harrison’s in November, with a source telling The Sun they were “really upset” at the turn of events.

Though villa lothario Harrison, who is after missing out on the All Stars cash prize, insisted Lauren has said things that are “untrue” and accused her of “twisting things”.

Harrison said on the show: “It’s a shame because we broke up very amicably. I feel a lot of things she said in the podcast [Joe Baggs podcast] were untrue. I feel I need to air it in private, have a conversation with her and go from there.”

He then confirmed they broke up at the end of October and said they haven’t seen each other since.

“It’s a shame she did that and tried to twist things,” he added.

Earlier this month she spoke out on her relationship with Harrison.

Lauren said: “When we split up that was my worst nightmare and I feel like I’m living my nightmare.

“I’ve dreaded it for so long even though I didn’t think he was going to do it it has been a thought in my mind for a long time and now I feel like oh my God, it’s reality, he’s going in there. And that is the hurtful part.”

There was much speculation during their time together that there was no spark and they were a showmance, but Lauren said that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“We had a very good relationship,” she said. “Since the moment he left [the villa] we literally were inseparable. We didn’t spend any time apart.

“We had an amazing few months together and I’m very grateful for the memories we’ve got.

“Then obviously it came to November and that’s when we ended publicly. We had a perfect relationship, it wasn’t a case of us not wanting to be together because of an area in our relationship that wasn’t working out or we wasn’t getting to see each other. No part of our relationship felt like it needed working on.

“It was more of a case of us working on ourselves to be the best partner for each other.”

The former couple were still in contact every day and spoke on the phone “all the time”, according to Lauren.
