A MAN has been charged in connection to the death of a 12-year-old after being extradited to the UK from Latvia.
Keaton Slater died in an alleged hit-and-run when he was struck by a black on Radford Road, Coventry, in June 2024.

Dolars Aleksanders, 23, was last month in Latvia connection with the tragedy.
He has since been brought back to the UK from Latvia and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Aleksanders was flown into Gatwick Airport yesterday before being transported to a custody block in the West Midlands.
He has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court later today.
Keaton’s parents are being supported by specially trained officers.
They have been fully updated on the developments in the case.
In a statement, Crown Prosecution Service spokesman Ben Samples said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has decided to charge Dolars Aleksanders with one count of causing death by dangerous driving following a into a fatal road traffic collision that led to the death of Keaton Slater.
“Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to court to pursue criminal proceedings.
“CPS West Midlands has worked closely with West Midlands Police, the , the Latvian authorities, Europol, the Joint International Centre (JICC), CPS International and our Extradition Unit to bring Mr Aleksanders back to face proceedings in a UK court for an alleged crime that took place here.”
