The Councilor representing Ward A in the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon. Sunday Adewale Omofojoye, is dead.

It was gathered that Omofojoye died on Saturday evening at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, where he had been receiving medical attention.

While the real cause of his death has yet to be confirmed, sources said he had been undergoing treatment prior to his death.

His passing occurs just a month before the conclusion of his second term in office, which was set to end in July.

The Oworonshoki community, which he served with steadfast commitment, is mourning the loss of a leader many regarded as devoted and approachable.

Condolences have continued to pour in across social media and local forums, with tributes highlighting his impact and dedication.

“Good night, Councilor Omofojoye representing Ward A, Oworonshoki,”; one mourner wrote. “May Almighty Allah accept his return and grant him Aljanat Firdaus,”; read another message.
