The Lagos State House of Assembly has annulled the nomination of Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPAA).

This decision was reached during the Assembly's plenary session on Monday.

In a statement released to DAILY POST on Monday evening, the chairman of the screening committee, Hon. Mojeed Fatai, indicated that the committee presented its findings, which led to the House's unanimous adoption of the annulment of her nomination.

Fatai clarified that Adelabu had been serving as General Manager since 2021.

He mentioned that she had never appeared before the House for the constitutionally mandated confirmation.

He emphasized that this violation of legislative procedure was a significant reason for the committee's recommendation to annul her appointment.

During the plenary, presided over by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, the committee's recommendation was accepted, and her nomination was officially annulled.

However, the House unanimously approved the nominations of Mrs. Adeyemo Khadijat as the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission and Mrs. Adepoju Adebajo as the Chairperson of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.
