The Lagos State Government has declared temporary road closures and traffic diversions in anticipation of Saturday’s Eyo Festival.
The festival, set to occur at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Lagos Island, will be attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his wife, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other prominent government officials.
In a statement released on Friday, the state government indicated that partial traffic restrictions would be enforced to facilitate the smooth execution of the cultural celebration.
As per the statement, the affected routes comprise the Third Mainland Bridge exit towards Adeniji Adele, the Adeniji Adele ramps (both inbound and outbound), Simpson Bridge connecting Osborne to Sura, along with key areas such as Obalende, CMS, Marina, Apogbon, and Idumota.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys ahead of time and utilize alternative routes, as officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be deployed to oversee traffic flow.
