The victory marks a landmark achievement for the club, becoming the first-ever North Korean side to win the competition.
They claimed the title after a 1-0 win over Tokyo Verdy Beleza in last month’s final in Seoul.
Naegohyang lifted the trophy thanks to a decisive goal from captain Kim, who was also named player of the tournament.
“I’m very honoured to win the MVP,” she said.
“However, this result does not belong to me alone. It belongs to the team and the coaching staff.
“We just kept pushing ourselves until the end.”
The newly established Asian Women’s Champions League, launched in 2024, offers prize of more than $1 million for the winners.
The victory also secures Naegohyang a place in next year’s Women’s Champions Cup, as well as the inaugural Women’s in 2028.
The two tournaments are set to bring together elite sides from across the globe.
The squad also became the first North Korean club team to visit in eight years.
Their rare crossing of the 38th parallel came against a backdrop of strained relations.
In recent years, has branded the South its “most hostile state” and ruled out any prospect of reunification following the Korean War.
Despite this, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung publicly congratulated the team after the final.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to the players of Naegohyang Women’s Football Club,” he said.
“The ball is round, and we will meet again. We will cheer you on vigorously for your next challenge!”
Naegohyang are the first women’s club side from North Korea to compete at continental level.
