A HUGE manhunt has been launched in Rome after a family was allegedly hacked to death by a meat cleaver in a horror triple murder.

A fourth member of the family, the 20-year-old son, was hospitalised after the terrifying attack.
released a mugshot of Shahadat Hossain, 43, who is wanted on suspicion of murder and assault.
He is thought to have killed the family in a fit of rage after mum Jahan Hosne Momotay rejected his advances.
Hossain, who has a criminal record, had reportedly shown up at the family home in Casalotti to harass Jahan on several previous occasions, but had been sent away.
Investigators think when the woman rejected Hossain for a final time, he killed her and her daughter Arowa with a meat cleaver.
The man then allegedly tried to clean up the blood at the scene.
But he was caught in the act by two other members of the family returning home around 10pm, local media claimed.
Dad Arzu Udiu, 38, was killed in the violent confrontation that followed.

His son Amir Hossain Ayon, 20, was also attacked but survived the massacre.
He reportedly told police: “He killed my whole family.
“I got home and saw him cleaning up the blood.
“There was blood everywhere. He killed everyone.”
Amir was rushed to hospital with stab wounds in serious condition.
Neighbours reported hearing piercing screams from the first-floor flat.
They said they then saw a person flee down the street, disappearing into the darkness.
Police seized a meat cleaver, thought to be the murder weapon, from the flat.
Cops are unsure if the alleged murder was pre-planned.
The victims were a Bangladeshi family who had lived in for several years.
Police have launched an and ordered autopsies.
They asked anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspected killer to come forward.
