She fled outside, crying, “I’ve been stabbed,” before collapsing near the apartment building.

As emergency responders worked to save her life, Rebekah asked an officer, “Am I going to die?”

The officer reassured her, saying, “You are injured, but you are in the best place now.”

Unfortunately, Rebekah could not be saved and was pronounced dead the following day.

Former cage fighter Ormandy, who has a tattoo on his neck that reads “The Hitman,” has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 24 years for murder.

Police-released footage shows officers closing in on the suspect after he fled the scene of the horrific attack.

Ormandy had called the police, claiming he was wearing a “suicide vest” while threatening to “blow everyone up.”

He was ultimately apprehended on a canal path, as shown in the footage of officers approaching him.

The murderer coldly told the police that Rebekah “must have stabbed herself.”

Liverpool Crown Court heard that in the hours leading up to the murder, he had sexual relations with a woman at a hotel where he had previously met at a pub.

He then proceeded to Rebekah’s residence, where she was on the phone with her friend Faye Henderson.

Faye heard Rebekah yell, “Go away, get out Mick,” followed by a “loud bang and puppies barking in the background.”

David McLachlan KC, prosecuting, stated: “After that, Faye Henderson did not hear anything else. Concerned for her friend, Faye called 999.

“Faye was right to worry about her friend because inside that fifth-floor flat in Huyton, Michael Ormandy, the man in the dock, stabbed his partner Rebekah Campbell repeatedly.

“In reality, he stabbed her to death.”

A post-mortem examination revealed that she had suffered 18 stab wounds and nine slash wounds.

The cause of death was determined to be stab wounds to the chest.

Ormandy and Rebekah had been in a relationship for about four months before her death, but she had expressed dissatisfaction with the relationship, stating it “was not going well.”

She also confided in a friend that she was “ready to end it,” the court heard.

One friend claimed that Ormandy would “call Rebekah a s**g or just stand at the bar and stare at her.”

On April 12, jurors were informed that Rebekah had thrown a shoe at her boyfriend and slapped him during a night out.

Ormandy later struck her in the face after another argument erupted that night.

After his arrest on suspicion of murder, Ormandy claimed that she had screamed “I’ve got a knife” when he entered her home.

He alleged that he managed to disarm her, but Rebekah remained on top of him and was “attacking him.”

Ormandy stated he responded by punching her “in self-defense” before pushing her onto the couch.

Referring to the argument on April 12, he suggested that if the police had “arrested Rebekah on that date, there would have been no further incident that led to him acting in self-defense.”
