KIERAN TRIPPIER has reportedly been left feeling “angry and betrayed” after Wolves sacked Rob Edwards days following his arrival at the club.

The former star was signed by the relegated Premier League club earlier this week, with Mexican World Cup star Raul Jimenez joining him soon after.

However, the club announced the , just two days after ‘s arrival.

Edwards was only appointed seven months ago after he was poached from during their promotion push, which ultimately ended in the play-off final at Wembley after losing to Hull.

Edwards, 43, is understood to have been instrumental in Trippier joining Wolves, with the full-back even mentioning how excited he was to play for the former Luton boss in his announcement video.

Several Wolves stars are said to have reached out to Edwards to express their disappointment at the decision.

Wolves are yet to confirm their new head coach, but it is widely reported they are set to sign Portuguese manager César Peixoto, who has been in charge of Portuguese club Gil Vicente for the last three months.

And now, according to Sky Sports , Trippier is considering ripping up his contract before it even officially begins due to feeling “betrayed” by his new employers.

Trippier, like Edwards, is said to have not been told about the decision from the club, but found out through other channels.

With his deal due to start on July 1, he has effectively signed a pre-contract for when his official contract with Newcastle ends.

And as a result, he is currently considering his options.

It’s reported he rejected several offers from Premier League clubs to join the Molineux outfit in the second tier.

Trippier was capped 54 times by England and has a wealth of experience in the top flight with Newcastle, Tottenham and .
