A POPULAR children’s attraction where kids could roam free in a tiny village of their own has announced its sudden closure.
Children’s Play Village in let children explore their own miniature town, complete with fire station, salon, cake shop, and post office.




Children could pop to the ‘supermarket’ visit the doctors or even take their pets to the vet.
Performers meanwhile would keep little ones entertained with songs, stories and play sessions.
But owners said on Tuesday it was with “huge regret”;; that they would be shutting their doors with “immediate effect”;;.
The Play Village team wrote on social media: “It is with huge sadness and regret we announce that our Play Village has closed with immediate effect.
“The hospitality sector is suffering immeasurably right now and sadly we have succumbed to the impossible economic and trading conditions.”;;
Guests already with bookings are expected to be contacted about the change in circumstances.
The village added: “We are devastated at having no choice but to close, but we hope that The Play Village will reopen again soon with new owners and that visits for almost all guests will go ahead as planned.”;;
In response to the posting, parents expressed their sadness.
One user commented: “This is so sad to hear.
“Thank you and the wonderful team for all the beautiful memories you’ve helped created with my little one.”;;

A third wrote: “I loved bringing my daughter when she was younger.
“The cleanliness and attention to detail really stood out.”;;
Children’s Play Village had been in operation for almost eight years, after opening in April 2018.
It was founded by Shelley Corbett and Alan Gleeson from Sutton Coldfield, who had been working on the site for two years before its launch.
Their aim was to create a unique to play in that was both imaginative and physical.
The team said: “We play our Tidy Up Time song one last time with the hope that our Welcome Song will be ringing out in The Play Village again soon.”;;
