Former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has said it’s time for the Kano State government under Governor Yusuf Abba to wake up to the growing insecurity threats in the state.
Ahmad warned that further delay will be costly and dangerous for the people of the state.
He was reacting to kidnapping of some women in Kano State by terrorists.
Posting on X, Ahmad said residents of the state are counting on th governor to protect them.
He wrote: “If there is any best and most crucial time for the Kano State to wake up to the growing security threat in our state, it is now.
“Any further delay will be costly and dangerous. Do something, Gov.@KYusufAbba, the people are counting on your leadership at this critical moment.
“Those terrorists are giving it back-to-back. In their minds, they are daring the authorities and proving they can strike at will.
“Yet, unbelievably, someone still thinks the best way to tackle this menace is to negotiate with them and eventually grant them amnesty.”
