KERRY Katona has opened up on a “horrific” few days which saw her mum rushed into hospital and the star forced to sign a ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ order.
The hitmaker candidly told of her “very traumatic” and “horrendous” experience in the medical ward and admitted her mum was a different person as she regained consciousness.

, 45, who is parent Sue’s only child, admitted she will “need therapy” after witnessing her out-of-character parent “on a loop”.
Thankfully Sue is now on the mend and, while she remains under medical care, Kerry returned home for the first sleep in her own bed for days.
She filmed her Instagram update propped up against a mustard-coloured headboard.
Appearing make-up free and with her blonde hair over her shoulders, Kerry said: “Good morning everybody, right quick update as to why I haven’t been on social media.
“Last night was the first night I slept in my own bed, my mum I know she’ll see this.
“My mum got taken into hospital last Tuesday, on Wednesday they called me and asked me to come in because she had slipped into unconsciousness, it was horrific.
“They asked me to sign a “.
A Do Not Resuscitate order, or a DNR order, is a medical order from a doctor stating that no steps should be taken to restart the patient’s heart or restore breathing if the patient experiences cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest.
This may be given if CPR presents further risks to the patient or keeps in line with the patient’s wishes.
Kerry then told how Sue came out of unconsciousness after 24 hours but detailed “when she did cone out of unconsciousness that wasn’t my mum, and that was very traumatic”.
The Whole Again hitmaker then told the camera: “I’m not going to lie, I’ll actually need therapy.
“Because you’re sat there watching her and she was like on a loop, she wouldn’t stop.
“No offence mum but you wouldn’t, it was very difficult to watch, so I actually feel traumatised.
“I thought that’s it my mum has gone, her mind’s gone, she’s gone”.
The brave star then told how the experience “takes a toll” and “breaks your heart”.
Kerry then confirmed her mum’s ordinary character had returned and she was doing well.
Though doctors are are still unaware of what caused the episode.
Mum of five Kerry then added: “It was horrendous it really was horrendous and I never want to go through that again, ever.
“I feel like I’ve aged about 50 years – thanks mum.
“It kind of gets you questioning mortality and you know your parents might not be here forever, or when you get to that age, and think will my kids be there for me?
“Oh god. It was horrendous”.
Kerry then apologised for missing work events and addressed her sleepy speech, clarifying she was not drunk.
It was a poignant remark which came after she infamously on ITV daytime show This Morning, which she then clarified was down to her medication at the time.
Summarising her week of hell Kerry added: “It was a lot but she’s [her mum Sue] OK.
“For now she does as she is told, mother, have a great day everybody”.
In her social media caption she wrote: “Not sure if anyone has actually noticed I haven’t been on social media.
“This is the reason why have a great Monday everybody @suekatona also the biggest shoutout to all the lovely nurses”.
Fans were quick to offer the reality TV star support and one wrote: “Big hug”.
A second posted: “Sending lots of love you’re all in my thoughts,” a third commented: “Sorry to hear this, babe”.
One then put: “Sending love”.
Kerry has previously addressed her rough upbringing with parent Sue – and the horror violent scenarios that came along with it.
She admitted to ‘s We Need To Talk podcast of her ups and downs, from being the “product of an affair” to spending her youth with numerous foster families.
She told expert Paul of her “horrendous” early years and how she visited her mum in a mental institution while living with her dad.
Kerry is still close to Sue despite her chaotic upbringing, but it was this experience that drove her to strive to be the best mum she could to her own brood.
Kerry has five children in total, from her three marriages.
