Katsina United have appealed to their fans to stay away from the Muhammed Dikko Stadium in Sunday’s matchday eight fixture against Rivers United.
The Chanji Boys made the plea in a press release signed by the club’s chairman, Alhaji Kabir Dan’lami.
Dan’lami urged supporters to demonstrate maturity and sportsmanship by continuing to be law-abiding citizens for the development of football in the state.
He also pleaded with security operatives who go to the stadium without uniforms to desist from doing so, as no one would be allowed in except those on duty.
FLYINGEZE BLOG recalled that Katsina United were fined N1 million and ordered to play their next home game behind closed doors for the unruly behaviour of their fans in the matchday five encounter against Sunshine Stars.
The Nigeria Premier Football League body has clamped down on clubs for crowd violence this season.
