has four children including son Fred, five, daughter Fenna, three, and daughter Holland, eight months, with husband Bobby Kootstra.
She is mum to Violet from a previous relationship.
Earlier this year, she told of she took when she learned Violet was going to .
She told how she decided to send her daughter with a security guard, with some fans dubbing the idea as “brilliant” and others saying it’s “too much”.
She shared what she did when Violet attended the same festival, admitting to Absolute Radio: “I sent my daughter to Reading…well, I didn’t send her, I didn’t want her to go.
“I’ve performed at Reading Festival, I think it’s a wonderful festival, but at that age, you’ve got your whole life to fall in a ditch and be sick in your wellington boot.”
She added: “I wasn’t a fan of it, especially because a lot of the girls were staying over.
“So I sent my daughter with an actual security guard.”
She added: “It was maybe overkill, but I just felt like I was working, I can’t go, I don’t want you to go. I didn’t let her stay overnight.
“The security guard was awesome.”
She explained that the security guard drove Violet to the festival, watched her “at a distance” and then he drove her home.
Katherine, who is from but has lived in the UK since 2008, said: “I said that’s the only way you are going and it was humiliating but she could have chosen to stay home.”
