Aloy Ejimakor, the legal advisor to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), asserts that the system has been against his client since 2021.
Ejimakor made this statement on Monday during an interview on 'The Morning Brief', a program on Channels Television that was monitored by DAILY POST.
His remarks come in light of the recent court ruling that sentenced Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment.
“Firstly, I must clarify that it has seemed since 2021 that the odds were stacked against Nnamdi Kanu; the entire system appeared to be opposed to him and his endeavors.
“The system's desperation was evident in June 2021 when he was unlawfully rendered in violation of all international law norms, as well as the laws of Nigeria and Kenya.
“This demonstrates the system's desperation towards him and his activities. The system was determined to harm him by any means available.
It culminated on November 20th, which surprised many, but for those of us who are insiders, we recognized that this case was exceptionally challenging to win, and it unfolded on November 20th as anticipated,” he stated.
